Thank you for your interest in our Wildlife Painting Safaris. Our itinerary depends on clients coordinated preferences. Each safari will be scheduled as a result of the combined interests, travel time and price range of each member of the party. We will stay for three weeks ... you can join for as long as your pocket and your time allow.

We hope you will join us. Your hosts are Gaelle Hamp-Adams and Barbara Jane Boulter, both raised in Africa with a lifelong experience in local travel. We are painters, artists and safari organizers and use the best safari outfitters and travel companies to furnish us with accommodation, travel arrangements to locations off-the-beaten-track that are interesting, colourful, ethnic, or with abundant wildlife, enabling artistically minded people like yourselves to appreciate and absorb the beauty of Africa at a gentle and comfortable pace.

Price is subject to the number of participants. This safari is for every artist, literati, thespian, philosopher, photographer or enlightened traveler. We welcome busy professionals and lazy travelers alike, whatever your age, from 19 – 91 years old to join us. This is a rare opportunity to go on safari in Africa for a reasonable price and enjoy traveling with people who want to see varied aspects of the country without hurry or hassle. A little of every accommodation style from tented luxury to a secluded beach hut over an three week period ... and you are welcome to join for a few days or as long as you like during the safari. Please contact us with your preferred dates and travel ideas. The organisation of each safari is undertaken to suit the travelers. We advise travel to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), Tanzania - departure from same airport unless taking an extension to Zanzibar, (which is a ferry-ride or short local flight from Dar es Salaam) with KLM (direct to Kilimanjaro and Dar es Salaam daily) the return flight can be from Dar es Salaam International Airport via Amsterdam. British Airways, Air France, Lufthhansa or other airlines via Nairobi. Gulf Air, Emirates or Qatar via Zanzibar. We are happy to advise, though not book your flights.

During all our travels, when painting or photographing, and at camps and lodges you will be in the care of experienced safari guides.. The luxury tented camps are staffed by the same array of personnel as a five star hotel. From plane to camp, from kitchen to table, whilst you are with us there is always a staff member taking care of your needs and safety.

We strongly advise travellers to have their own Travel and Medical Health Insurance.

Whilst painting, travelling by car or game driving we are never out of radio contact with main camp by radio or mobile phone. Should you bring a mobile phone with roaming, the network coverage is as good as any in Europe.

Boards and stools will be supplied. Bring your preferred painting medium and a painting block. Feel free to contact Gaelle for guidance on materials:

The Lingua-Franca in Tanzania is English, therefore the tutorials will be held primarily in English language. Your hosts speak English, Swahili, Zulu, Portuguese, Dutch and Spanish.

Let us plan and escort an economical bespoke safari for your art group to Tanzania or Kenya with yourself as tutor, and within your pupils/artists preferred budget.

Contact : Interested painting tutors, art teachers, pupils and artists please email Barbara Jane Boulter (BJ) your Workshop Manager/Guide, for ideas based on your painting, budget, travel and venue preference.
